	L'OREAL-UNESCO AWARDS 2006 - Life Sciences "For Women in Science"

	The documents for nominating candidates for the L'OREAL-UNESCO AWARDS 2006 - Life Sciences "For Women in Science" are enclosed.

	The candidates shall be nominated by « sponsors », eminent personalities from the international scientific Community identified by the jury and the Executive Secretariat, as well as by the National commissions for UNESCO ». 

	Individual Awards of US$ 100 000 each are given to five internationally renowned women scientists for their major contributions to science (one per continent: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America). 

	Renominations of candidates already presented for the 2004 Award are possible.  
	
	Deadline for nominations: 30th June 2005.
