[Oberon] Bug report: Character insert speed in Edit under 8.24 alpha NO

Character insertion under Edit lags normal typing by quit a bit
while Script seems to easily keep up.  

This is on a 500MHz K6 with 256MB DRAM. I just received a 3C900B-TBO
and so I'm making the switch to standalone Native Oberon.

I used Oberon quite a bit back when Michael Franz had just ported it to the Mac
but time constraints with work prevented my being able to keep up with the system.
I must say it's gotten much more mature with a wide range of tools available.
It's sad to think it will no longer be supported in the future unless we can get
a large enough user base.  Anyway it's a great system, the team at ETH has
done a great job with it.
