[Oberon] Native Alpha Feedback (Resizing gadgets)

In my new Native Alpha 5-Jan-2003 installation, 
Documents on the Desktop pop up almost fully 
maximized in vertical extent and they are not 
resizable with a MM drag in the control area 
of any corner. 

Is this a bug, a new feature, or what am I doing wrong ?
