I suspect so.
The latest Bluebottle ISOs are kind of strange, and I've had mixed
results with them in different circumstances. For instance, I think I
can burn the Christmas release with Linux, and even boot the ISO image
with qemu, but I can't mount it under Linux (or maybe Windows). It
wouldn't suprise me if the OSX tools are having grief as well.
The ISO is so small that if you're lucky you can copy it to USB media
(or maybe CD) as a regular file and hopefully find a friend who would
be willing to try burning it on some other OS. I think I've burned it
successfully using ISORecorder on Windows:
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
And there's also a cdrecord port for OSX:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/cdrecord-beta
which is not user-friendly, but should do the trick.
There's also the off-chance that you've done everything right but have
unsupported hardware. If you can successfully burn the Bluebottle
ISO, it's worth booting on a random box or two to make sure the CD is
OK.
I have nothing against Native Oberon, but I highly recommend
Bluebottle. The system requirements are a little steeper and some may
not care for the new user interface, but the System 3 interface is
always there and I think it's a strong move towards a strong future.
