In 1492 some of the "experts" predicted that 
Columbus would sail off the edge of the earth.  
He persisted and found a new continent!

Conclusions:
* Don't be afraid to question "expert" knowledge.
* Think of exploration as an investment in progress 
  rather than "time wasting".
