Debian seems to have the biggest "army".
Analagously is 'English' the best language because it dominates?
Many debian <informatics> start with "you might want to".
Can you tolerate this "old ladies tea-party jargon" for a subject, who
many consider to
be an exact science.
Compare it with NW's writings: which describe the *system* [eg. "it
is"] instead of
probing the user's psychological state.
At the other end, Slackware: one of the first; seems controlled by an
individual,
who, to my subjective opinion, has magical powers of written explanation.
Is the 'committee system' one reason why the Soviet union failed.
OTOH since using debian for rPi, the big-army-support seems the most economical
method to reach a goal, by blindly following instructions, without
needing to know
what's happening.
Control-phreacks would prefer Slackware.
