[Oberon] Why Oberon-2 and Component Pascal is more popular than Oberon-7?

Why Oberon-2 and Component Pascal is more popular than Oberon-7?
I see many compilers are out there for Oberon-2 and Component Pascal but not a single one for Oberon-7...

What are the features that make them popular?
Is Oberon-7 lacking something, and that is why it is not useful for practical real world programming?
