I enjoyed Component Pascal when I tried it, however I was a little eerie
of using it due to its reliance on MS COM technology (tied to the MS
platform) compared to something like Lazarus IDE where you can compile an
application on BSD, Linux, or Windows with no COM reliance. Com is
interesting though as it allows widgets to be reused in ways never thought
before.
But then I think someone ported component pascal libraries over to linux
and that got me a little interested again, but I am not sure of the status
of those works.
What I did not like about component pascal, is that strings were harder to
work with than delphi or lazarus, or GoLang, but I've already brought that
topic up several times and do not mean to bring it up too much
