[Oberon] Names and numbers of releases.

I'm fairly sure that ETH Oberon alpha was release 2.3.7.

Was 2.3.6 beta or stable?

If a fresh release of ETH Oberon is created, primarily to fix bugs, 
should a new name be invented? 

How does release numbering work?
