It takes about 30 seconds until first the hub and then the devices are found. You can recognize on the screen that the mouse is ready when the mouse cursor appears. I currently try to make this faster. 

I also observed that there are still issues with older SD cards. I have some which flash ok and even start the display, but then at a later stage fail to read modules. This can be seen when attaching a TTL cable at the UART pins and monitoring the boot via console output. Maybe try with another (newer) SD card if the issue persists.
