Amiga OS was an interesting design. I remember vaguely an article in Byte that it was adopted by Commodore from some UK university.

I did not own an Amiga, but some friends had an Amiga 500, which was mainly used by their children for playing games. Amigas were pushed into the game console corner despite they had a reasonable design & computing power ...
