Nice piece, IMHO.
I tried XOSL and it nuked my entire HD, but a very knowledgeable
friend had it working well. It does have relevance today -- I have the
_devil_ of a time getting A2 installed natively on my Thinpad. In the
end I had to strong-arm it: assign a real partition as a virtual disk
to a VM, and install inside the VM. Nasty and failure-prone.
I favour PowerQuest BootMagic, but it's proprietary and unmaintained.
Won't work on GPT, but then, I bet neither will A2.
I can talk about some of the issues in advanced/high-level
multibooting, if you need that?
